I have learned how to create a bookmark page that can be shared by many people. I can use this to book sites for my students to research (safe sites) and also share these sites with other teachers in my district and beyond. I can find sites that other art educators have discovered that are good sites and integrate them into my curriculum.

I am still unsure how to get these sites bookmarked into my site.

I know how to find  sites.
I am aware of some of the uses of Delicious  Is there a way for students to safely search for specified information or do all web sites need to be screened before being added to the bookmark site. What safeguards can be put in place to protect students?  Students can share site information and access one anothers sites.

Does this worldwide collaboration venue create more risks for children and how can it be integrated safely in a world that teaches children "not to talk to strangers?"

In a world of increasing tech. crime what risks can face children.

i was able to create a profile and create a photo library and download a photo onto Ning. I can see possible uses for business purposes.  More about how to use Ning etc.  for student learning.    Is Ning, Grou.ps, and flickr more of a personal use application or is there a strong curriculum connection that I am not seeing, yet?
I can see the possibilites  of using Ning to create profiles of specific art lessons and displaying student artwork for other districts to see and be able to use.      By Inference, are ning and flikr for one on one sharing and is grou.ps for group sharing?  How is this applicable to curriculum planning?

Flickr is a photsharing site, nign and groups are the same. They are social networking site, where you have your own page and you join other groups.

I like your idea of photo sharing throughout the district. Let's collaborate on ideas again tomorrow. You hung in there today. As you gain knowledge on how these sites work, the curriculum connections will follow.

WENT TO THE ART SHOW OPENING AT THE FOOD PANTRY TONIGHT. I SURE LIKED SOME OF THE WORK YOU SUBMITTED! NICE JOB! IT WOULD BE FUN TO PHOTO ALL OF THAT WORK AND PUT IT ON VOICETHREADS.COM. THAT IS A SITE YOU MIGHT LIKE TO CHECK OUT...THERE ARE SOME GOOD ART IDEAS.
